Can anyone decipher Maria's surname please? The writing looks heavier than the rest.

No, George's name was Watts. I am afraid this is the first time I have ever attached anything so as you can see its all a bit too big.

It looks as if his name and her forename have been written by the Registrar and she's had a stab at her surname?  Agree with Chrisann on Patersson (thought that before looking at any replies...)

Is it possible to give us the date and location, please ?

I think this is one where a search on a  census/alternatives  might be the only way to work it out.
