(Beatrice Ellen) Violet SPRINGMAN

Hi.

Violet's husband, Herman Henry Springman, died in 1936 in Llandudno (North Wales BMD).

In 1911, the family lived at Bryn Mair Llanfair, Ruthin.

I'd like to find out when and where Henry's wife, (Beatrice Ellen) Violet Springman b. 1875 Fareham, Hampshire, England, died.

I'd appreciate the lookup.

Did she report Herman's death as that may narrow the search.

You will need to search the full GRO index  which is available at your nearest main library.  It can also be searched online if you have an Ancestry or FindMyPast subscription 

It involves downloading the images for every quarter of every year and checking for an entry - very time consuming without more info

Nothing showing on the North Wales BMD 1911-1950 for her. Her husband is the only Springman showing  -  d. Abergele, 1936.

She must have moved away from the area 

I was hoping that the local index might give some pointers.  Did she have children who lived elsewhere?

We need to know whether she was still alive when Herman died.  If not - we are looking at a death pre-1936

Do you have a copy of Herman's death cert showing who reported the death

There is an obituary on the Denbighshire Mailing List ---- H H Springmann beloved husband of Violet.

Seems to be a Cheshire connection, as the Cheshire BMD lists a marriage for Herman H Springmann to Violet E B Touzel 1901 at Eccleston, St Mary.

The Springman family were originally Springmann, but dropped the  second 'n' around 1914.
HHS played rugby football for for England twice, eight years apart, as a member of the Liverpool club, in 1879 and 1887. In between he had spent some time in the USA.   He had an obituary in the Times.
His family were on the Liverpool Cotton Exchange.

The Times announcement of HHS's death in October 1936 shows 'beloved husband of Violet...', not 'the late'.  This is not conclusive. 
I was about to look for the obituary in case of more detail, but the site shut down on me. I'll keep trying.
