I have started transcribing the Manx BMD indices in an attempt to make them searchable online.

are you aware that Brian Lawson did quite bit - see www.iomfhs.im  - follow link to lawson mini-site - the indices only give the male's name in early years also that from the indices you cannot directly determine marriage partners just the page on which the entry is found in the register searchable fior a fee at General Registry
As the newpapers of this period are now digitised and available via British Library scheme (pay for but many councils have free online access via their library online it may be worth collating these entries
also that some may be being transcribed as part of the new iCentre (part of manx National Heritage) which may well go online sometime early next year
It may well be also connecting with IoM FHS - also not sure how much tracking your hosting site does (my usual privacy concerns)
any thing with a Manx Connection

As a matter of interest does anyone know what happened to the original site?  It was possible to upload certificates etc to this one, as I had done.
