Hi Marleey73.
My gr gr gr grandmother was a Limerick from Derryand last year I posted looking for info about her marriage but alas, no joy :(
All the information about Limericks in Derry that I recieved from the wonderful RChatters on the Derry board you can find on page 5 if you look back and find it.
There are a few Georges listed, one of them may be yours. You never know you might find others as well who are related to you ;).
Good Luck
Annette

Hi Marlene, yes it was quite unusual and not very common, thats why I thought I might find" my " Limerick's birth.I have her death cert from Glasgow t but cant get any further back :(
Her family were from Derry but I could find all but her.
On the 1911 census for Derry and Donegal there are only about half a dozen Limericks that I can find. They seemed to have died away somewhat by then ::)
Hope you have better luck than me, you never know we could be cousins 10 times removed! ;)

Hi Annette
Will let you know if I come across anything.  Jane Adelaide Limerick ended up in Dundee Scotland.  One never knows we could be related.  This is a great site and a most helpful one
Regards Marlene :)
