Help - I can't read what this says
« on: Wednesday 16 September 09 16:15 BST (UK) »
Hoping that someone can help me to make out the name on the attached certificate.

This is the 1898 death certificate for Willliam Eckford whose parents were John Eckford and Susan ???????.  I have entered a number of names into Scotlands People but all are coming up blank.  Those that I have tried to far are:  Tult, Tuet, Yult, Yuet, Jult amd Juet.

Hoping that someone can help me.

Thanks
Sparkle

My first reaction was Tult but if you look at the very end column of the last entry on the page - the F in February has no cross on it and looks very similar to the T in Tult - possibly Fult but it's guesswork

The other Ts and Fs on the page are different. I'm wondering if it could be Yule  with one of those little capital es that are sometimes written :-\

Thanks so much.  Yes, I suspect the Eckford / Tilt record is the one I am looking for.
