George Ivan MARTIN - born 1899

Cannot see his death listed (as George Ivan) in NZ ???

NZ Marriage Index shows the following, which may be him ?

George Ivan MARTIN - Irene Agnes Grace SKELLEY - 1927

NZ Death Index

1990 - MARTIN - Irene Agnes Grace - born 16 January 1903

(Haven't been able to locate a cemetery record for her. )

I also have a copy photo showing William with his parents and some siblings and then I have a Candidate's 'flyer' for the Manukau city council elections - Papatoetoe Ward in the name of Phil & Helen Greenbank. I don't know the date of this flyer or what connection he has to William.

Hi again Bob

Phil and Helen GREENBANK   ... you may find the following of interest ?

Hi Lucy2,
Thanks for the link there. I have had a look and I think that although the names are the same, The dates are a bit too recent. As I said before, I don't properly know when the flyer was for but I have a feeling that it was just after one of the wars. I will check it out and drop him an email.

Hi again Lucy2,
Sorry about not acknowledging the other leads. I wll be following them up without a doubt. As I mentioned , They are a rather remote link to my wife's family but they are going onto the tree. If it was just close links that we added it would be a sorry do..

Thank you very much for the look ups. If there are any descendants of William Martin out there, I have family info for them back to c 1757.

Thanks again
Bob

Hi Bob

Oh yes, worth an email to the Greenbanks (perhaps there's a much later family connection ?).     Lots of info for Phil Greenbank - just Google his name + "New Zealand" :

Hi again Lucy,
Strange...I have just googled him as you suggested and he is definitely the same guy as on the flyer.... Still  if he doesn't want to play... he must have his reasons Strike 2

Hi Bob

Strange alright !   :D

Yes, I guess if that is the sort of response you got, then there's no point in further pursuing that aspect.   ;)
