RootsChat Challenge - Family history at Tesco
« on: Thursday 17 September 09 16:30 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Just to remind you that family history sources can pop up in the most surprising places.

I have just tracked down a book on a very short and fairly obscure episode of Irish history that describes my Great-grandfather's brief role in politics.

Having found the details, I wanted to purchase a copy and was stunned to find that the first UK supplier that popped up in the search engine was Tesco.

I now have the book, ordered over the internet, so the challenge is:
can anyone post a photo of it actually on sale on the shelves of a Tesco store?

The title is: Radical Politics in Modern Ireland: The Irish Socialist Republican Party 1896-1904
and it is by David Lynch

Has anyone else found a source of information personal to their family history in a similarly unexpected place?
McDonough, Oliver, McLoughlin, O'Brien, Cuthbert, Keegan, Quirk(e), O'Malley, McGuirk (Ireland)
Dudley, Winchurch, Wolverson, Brookes (Black Country)
Concannon, Moore, Markowski (Markesky), Mottram, Lawton (Black Country)
