Is that a typo, or is my arithmetic going haywire?

You say Edna was 84 when she died in 1994?  That would give a dob of c1910, but if she was born in 1916, and died aged 84, that would bring us to c2000 for her death...

You're quite right  - will have to check the info I have been given - thought my family were difficult !!

Could the ages you had be very much out? 

The 1911 census index shows Joseph Clifford Young age 32 in the same household as Elizabeth age 30, Elizabeth Ellen age 9 and Leonard age 6 (all in Wigan district)
