Hello Dee

I am on another thread now....came across this line re Yarra Bend. I am researching Catherine Coleman admitted to YB April 1858 and died there 1862. Cannot find her in PRO casebooks online. Have death cert and partial inquest from NLA (great site!) Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi Ryanresearcher,
We have had the name COLEMAN a few times on the Aussie Chat Board.
You may like to read some of these previous threads in case they tie in with your people.

Go to search at the top of the Rchat page and put Coleman in the subject box.

Clear all 'ticks" using the Check All thing at the bottom of the search page and then re-tick the Australian pages on the list of places to search.

I know NEWBE was one of the Coleman searchers, but others there too.

my name is peter & i have just joined rootschat. Louisa Coleman who you mentioned with regard to the Yarra  Bend asylum & Ararat asylums is my ggg aunt. Her father John Hill Coleman was also in the Yarra Bend asylum in the same era. He apparently was a suspected murderer & a very violent man. I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist in gaining more information about either/both of them.
