My Linnells were in Raunds and Finedon, 350zcar100. My ggg-grandmother was a Linnell from Finedon.

Our Linnells are descended from Edward Linnell/Lennell born 1773, Old Weston, Huntingdonshire (Wife Sarah Coe) Died 1842, Leighton Bromswold. Edwards parents were Richard Linnell and Hannah ?. Edward Junior born 1818 married 16 Oct 1843, Sussanah Phillips, born Raunds Nov 1826, and they came out to Australia on La Belle Alliance in 1847.

Who knows....maybe somewhere there's a link. I can trace the Linnells of Finedon back to the late 1600s to a William Linnell who had a number of children in Finedon.
He had a son Richard Linnell in 1724.
Richard married Elizabeth Brawston in 1753.
Among their children were two sons,  William and Richard, born 1754 and 1756 respectively.

One of those two is the father of my ggg-grandmother Mary Linnell. But which I don't know, as they both had daughters they named Mary within 12 months of each other.    ::)

By the 1850s all but one of the Linnells had left Finedon for other places.
