Alkborough, Lincolnshire.
« on: Friday 30 October 09 23:22 GMT (UK) »
My ancestor, Thomas Wood, was buried in St. John the Baptist, Alkborough, in 1824.  I am trying to find out whether his grave still exists and hopefully if it does what is written on his headstone.  His wife was in Lincoln and his father and son in Bristol so I am not sure why he was buried here.  Any suggestions as to whether a MI list exists or whether someone in Alkborough would be happy to have a look on my behalf  would be gratefully received.

I know this is rather late but I have only just read your post. I don't know if this will help but Scunthorpe Library 01724 860161 holds the parish registers for Alkborough.

You could also try Lincolnshire Archives. They have extensive sets of burial information for across the historic county.
