« on: Friday 07 May 04 23:29 BST (UK) »
I have a William SALKELD born about 1712 who married a Ann ROBINSON in Alston 1733. Can anyone help with their Ancestors or Descendants. I think I have the descendants but like to be certain.

Hi! Dave

You don't say whether you have had a look on the IGI section of the family search site, if not have a look there is quite a bit of info on the family.
eg.  William and Ann had a son called John christened in Alston 1753, he them married a woman called Ann (No surname) she was born in Alston c. 1749.   They had the following children..
Levi      christened 11-03-1771
James                    25-07-1773
John                      29-01-1777
Ann                        08-05-1781     Burial 17-04-1788
Isabella                  08-05-1781

If you have not checked on there, well worth a look

Hi,

Have you had a look at the genuki site for Alston?  The marriages for Alston from 1701-1837 have been transcribed and are published on this site - there are quite a few Salkeld's mentioned.

Thank you for the Information. Yes I have had a look at the Alston marriages.
The other info came as a suprise.
I already have John who married Ann Wilson and also Levi but the rest were new to me.Where I really come unstuck is William SALKELD's Parents.
