Carol (Sunflower),

Hi, Richard Perkins who married Harriet Kendrick is my ggg grandfather on my grandmother on my dad's side.

I am having trouble sorting out who Richard's parents are.

There is an apprenticeship Indenture record dated 28 April 1774 wherein a William SHEPHERD Citizen & Gun Maker of London, took on a Richard PERKIN as an apprentice for a period of 7 years from 31 March 1774 -

This could be a clue as Richard who married Harriet Kendrick was a Gun and Pistol maker.

I would love to know Harriet's family tree I am sure I found a sister also born at Market Harborough.

Oh and in my part of the family tree the name Kendrick became a boys name (I even had an uncle Kendrick).

Kind Regards,

Wayne Cook

Hi Wayne

Thanks for the message.  My 2 x gt grandmother was Elizabeth Kendrick who was Harriett's sister.
Their parents were Thomas Kendrick and Harriet Weston. Thomas was a licensed victualler and they seemed to move around a lot.

I will send you a PM later

Harriet and Richard's son Thomas Perkins married Charlotte Brindley in Tasmania, their son George Kendrick Perkins is my great grandfather
