Small article on BBC northwest site today says all the artifacts have now been transferred to the new building but due to building delays, the archives won't be open to the public until April - not January as first envisaged. Just keeping everyone up to date.

Hi all. Been quiet cos working on the census. I don't think I'm breaking any confidentialty clauses to say I pass near Lady Gilford occasionally. I'ts magnificent!  If the inside is as good as the outside we are going to have a treat. And I would recommend anyone that is in the area, even if you don't have a readers card to go and gawk!!

If I walked out of the Railway Station in Carlisle, how would I get to the new archives centre?
