Blockley And Draycott Surname Interests
« on: Thursday 12 November 09 18:13 GMT (UK) »
All from about 1750/1760 onwards mainly in Blockley, but in the census Draycott pops up too:

LUKER - originally from Overbury, married, lived and died in Blockley (married William Clements in 1826)
NEWITT - baptised children in Blockley between 1775 and 1793 and then disappeared!
CLEMENTS, also spelt Clemons, Clemens, Clemings

I've put my names on the Surname Interests section here also, just wondering if anyone on this board is researching or has connections to these particular names?

Thanks,
Brenda

Hi, I'm sorry I can't help with Brenda's names, my Draycott heritage stems from family migrating from the Broadway area in the mid 19th century.

For the record, I'm chiefly researching descendants of the MEADOWS family, present in Draycott from around 1860, but also EDGINGTON. I'd love to hear from anyone with connections.
Oxfordshire: SHAYLER, HERN,
Gloucestershire: MEADOWS, HERBERT,

Hi, catching up with old threads, some updates to my Blockley connections: I've also 18thC connections through Francis HANDY (born circa 1690), Richard Rose HAINES (1730) and John TOMS (1740).
