Italy: Trying to trace Charles Festorazzi

hi torre, my husband was the youngest son of charles and ellen festorazzi, richard maurices b.1919 not 1920 died oct 2008. his sister mary is still alive and will be 95 in april this year, she lives in uckfield in sussex.
As regards to the brother of my father in law, we know that he emigrated to canada but are not sure when this was, and he also had a daughter called joan who lived in windsor ontario. I know that she also had a daughter called joan ans a son but i do not know his name. I beleive her daughter went to live in america and her son went to live in London, Ontario. I hope this will help you a little.

I am the granddaughter of Edward Arthur Festorazzi and Elizabeth (Jacka) Festorazzi who migrated to Canada on the Empress of Britian with my mother Dorothy Evelyn Festorazzi as a child.  They left Liverpool England February 25, 1910 and arrived in Canada March 5, 1910.  Making their home in Windsor Ontario Canada.  My grandparents evenually seperated,  she went to live in USA someplace and granddad raised the children himself.  He made his living as a baker in Canada.  My mother evenually married,  and she had two children a daughter named Joan and a son named Jim.  My brother's name is James Edward Arthur Saunders born March 1, 1948, he married and left Windsor and made his home in Kitchener Ontario.  My brother passed away on July 31, 2007
leaving one son named after him James Edward Arthur
Saunders born October 8, 1976 and still resides in Kitchener Ontario.  I am Joan Virginia (Saunders) Hopkins and I reside in Windsor Ontario I was born August 13, 1940 in the city of Windsor.  My mother Dorothy Evelyn (Festorazzi) Saunders
was born June 20, 1907 and she passed November 25, 1974.  And my grandfather was laid to rest in the solders plot in Windsor Grove cemetery.  The above information is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  If anyone would like any further information  please e-mail me at

Hi , I emigrated to Australia from Tunbridge Wells in 1969. My late sister was married to a Reginald Charles Festorazzi who was the GGGrandson of Charles and Charlotte. My niece has a very faint copy of the marriage register of them but there is no mention of their father's names, so that must of only appeared on records in later times.
These are the details of them that my niece has. They were given to her Mother by a member of the Family who did all the research.
Charles Festorazzi d.1886 m.26 Dec 1831- Charlotte Langridge(1813-1874)
Charlotte died in Barming? House lunatic asylum in Maidstone of exhaustion from dementia. My niece has copies of both Charles and Charlotte's death certificates.
In the Maidstone and Kentish journal July 14-1873, there was a maintenance case mentioned where Charles was summoned to show why he could not pay sufficient maintenance to keep his wife in the asylum.
On Charles' death certificate he was down as a cellarman and cause of death was senile debility.

Ellen, their daughter, had 2 sons,

It is believed that both of these boys were born out of wedlock and were brought up for a time by a family by the name of Tugwell. They kept their Mother's maiden name of Festorazzi.

Charles and Winifred were my BIL Reginald Charles' parents and I remember them well. They lived all their married lives at 22 Tunnel Road, Tunbridge Wells. Shaftsbury and Tunnel Roads were in Tunbridge Wells but probably appeared in the census records as Tonbridge.
