: Birmingham

 Henrietta Bromwich
 Florence Holtoken
 Florence Holyoake
 Joseph Edwin Perkins
 Alice Harriet Preston

 Alice Stringer 1895   Aston

There is a Florence Perkins with a Joseph Perkins in Birmingham in 1901. She is born 1869, which could be the daughter of John and Louisa?  Sorry I don't have a subscription to look a the actual record :(

I was wondering if John Davis was married previously - did Trees say Florence was widowed in 1911
so if John Dvais was married prviously and the marriage was not disolved and the wife had not died then he may not have actually married Florence but she just took on his name but also the children, Edward mainly, may not belong to Florence.

make sense ?

do we have John on the census ?

how old is he and where was he born? and his occupation ?

also do you (trees) have any birth certificates for children of John & Florence?

so where does that leaves us or more appropriatly leave Trees?

Have we discounted all the Florence Holyoake's?

and so is that death certificate not the right one or did Florence as Toni suggested not actually marry John Davis?

Trees has found Florence and John Davis in 1901, so she can't be either of the 2 possible Florences we have found marrying and living with their husbands in 1901. So there don't appear to be any other Florence Holyoak
(e)s around so who was she?

The family Trees has found in 1901 look like the correct one with the children's names.
Florence is born Birmingham 1873 and the eldest child Edward in 10. So we need to find a John Davis marriage to a Florence X around 1890

maybe John Hollyoak isn't the File cutter one  :-\
the 1891 census looks to be correct (i would say it is def. correct) but here he is working in a factory

Jaywit- i have searched 1891 onwards  :)

Could it be

Birmingham  Mar 1886
John Joseph Davis
Florence Hannah Tyler
6d_93

as wasn't there a Joseph Davis living in the household as well as a lodger in 1911?modify : although looking back up if Florence was born in 1873 that would make her 13 at this marriage?
