Well you were right - they are not at 16 Gresse St St Pancras in 1861. (spelling is correct, by the way)
Sorry bout that - think we will have to try again.

Just a thought - the BVRI latest one anyway - doesn't have very much of London and none of Middlesex in it.  Pain because that is one of the main reasons I got it.
Did you check the BVRI for all areas, or just the little they have in Lon/Mdx?

Someone else did the lookup for me so probably just London/Middlesex cos that's where I would have said I was looking for them at the time.

I know from IGI there's a large contigency of Bibb's from in and around Birmingham but have yet to find a link!

No marriages for George and the only ones for Thomas are all back in 1700.
There goes another idea.

Hi Lou,
Crompton Place, Edgware Rd, Church St, can be seen on a 1854 map. Go to WWW. Victorianlondon.org, click on maps, click on Pictorial Map of London, you need section 1a, top left hand corner.
From the left side of that section, follow the tear along, and you will find the area you are looking for. York Row not shown.
St John the Evangelist Church, is in Kensal Green, about 3 miles along the Harrow Rd, I think that parish came under North Kensington or Kensal Town in the 1841 census.
There is a church in Paddington Green St Mary`s, poss that one of them lived in Kensal Green, Harlesden or Willesden.
Hope that I have not rattled on for to long. Cissellby
