Have found a burial for John Allen under Luke John ALLEN in 1920

He was 89. he was buried on 20 September 1920
He is buried at Taruheru Old Cemetery in Gisborne

Plot details:  TARUHERU OLD/1 323

Last address and occupation is unknown

There is a M/I but would need to have a look at the microfiche at the library to find out what it says. I can do that for you if needed

Thank you so much for that info, Newbe.  I have visited Emily's grave in Dunedin she is buried with her daughter and son in law.

I have only just found all her info recently I have searched for her for 30 yrs she came over to NZ from Australia about 1869 when she married her first husband he died in 1873. So it would be great to find the info of her step children. They could have been born in the Te Awamutu area??

That is weird about Emily's burial maybe there is just a head stone in one of the cemeteries it looks like her in Gisborne too how can I find out which cemetery she is really buried in?

Hi Sandidel

The record that newbe listed for Mary at Gisborne is an MI (Memorial Inscription) NOT a burial record.
So one would presume that she is (quite naturally) mentioned on her husbands headstone.

The Mrs MORICE mentioned as John ALLEN's daughter, appears to be "Sarah" - you can find her marriage notice (also in  Poverty Bay Herald) :
