Henry wasn't born until 1839 so I think this Henry would be too old. Thanks anyway.

Yes I realise that, but it could be his Father ;) and Uncle.
There is obviously a long connection to India with this family.
So maybe we have 3 generatons of Henry Glazbrooks within these records.

Sons were often sent back to England to be educated.

Robert Glazbrook appears on 1841 census as ind, not born in county, and then seems to disappear.

Henry Glazbrook was baptised at Calcutta, 15 February 1839, he was the son of Charles Glazbrook and Mary Moore Plummer. They were married 18 July 1838 (East India Register 1839).
Charles was the son of Henry Glazbrook of Calcutta, a partner in Hamilton & Co., Jewellers, by his mistress. The entry reads: Charles Glazbrook, bapt. 27 April 1819, at Calcutta, son of Henry "by a native woman" (India Office Library ref: N/1/11 page 99)

Hi,

Thanks for that info. I did find the marriage to Charles and Mary Moore in Calcutta. The only strange thing I find is that on the Baptism it is listed as Henry as the father and again on Henry (Jr.) marriage his father again is listed as Henry. That is what I find strange. Very frustrating. Thanks again.
