Panoramic card of Mappin Art Gallery, Sheffield Letter on it written by Lily Craven to her father, Captain J.W. Craven, on the ketch 'Grovehill', sent to his vessel at Leith and redirected to Elie, Fife. Lily was staying with her aunt (Fanny Craven, nee Mason, was from Sheffield). Most of the letter's content relates to the Grovehill's recent passage with a cargo of gunpowder in a recent storm.

John Craven was born c 1828 Newport, so a possibility is the family were Methodists.
