Looking for a photograph and inscription of a 15 foot cross erected in Danygraig cemetery in memory of Fr Charles Kavanagh for his heroic work during the cholera epidemic in Wales. Fr Kavanagh arrived in Swansea from Newport in 1839 and administered at St. David’s Llanelli from1839 – 56.

Kind Regards

Hi I know this is a really old post, but are you still wanting a photo of Father Charles Kavanagh's inscription and cross?

Hanes teulu Thanks for posting the newspaper article, I'll try and upload the photos I took of it. It's quite an impressive cross, in what is the Roman Catholic section of the cemetery. The inscriptions I think were in Latin.
