Vancouver death 1953-COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 23 December 09 18:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I wondered if anyone would be able to look up the details from a death cert. for Douglas C Weston.
I checked online and he died 11 Aug 1953 in Vancouver age 64. The ref no is 1953-09-007964.
If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.
Thanks
Caro

Hi Lynwen,

Thanks very much for the info, I wasn't expecting a reply so quickly!
The parents names confirm this is the man I was looking for.
Best wishes
Caro

I should also have mentioned that there is a death registration for his wife - Lillian died in White Rock in 1987, aged 98.  I didn't have time to search or look up any others yesterday as my parking metre was about to expire!  I was hoping the city would show a little Christmas spirit with the parking but no, I actually saw an enforcement officer handing out tickets on Christmas Eve.   ???

If you need Lillian's, I can add it to my list for next time.

I really hope you get this message. Unbelieveable! I was casually searching for records of my maternal grandfather from my late mothers birth certificate (Douglas Colin Weston) of Vancouver circa 1921 - he was married to (Ethel Porter) from England and they divorced - Ethel returned to England with my 2 year old mother (Patricia Mary Weston) and she died on board ship of pneumonia. Mother was raised by Ethel's sisters back in Folkestone UK.
So I wondered what happened to Douglas Colin Weston after that event and thought of trying to make contact with any of his descendants.  Excited I may have extended family out there!
I live in Cape Town ... long story ... my mother moved here with me in tow! I would love to hear from you and really hope you get this message or that it gets passed on to you.
Very sincerely
