1861 Sussex Census lookup for SMITH
« on: Monday 14 March 05 09:57 GMT (UK) »
Please could someone do a look up for the following:

William Smith born Brighton aged 24 possibly a gardener
Catherine Smith born Brighton aged 28.

They may have also living with them a Charlotte Martha LEACH born Brighton,  aged 7. She was Catherine Smith's daughter, father unknown.

They were probably living in the Brighton area around the time of the 1861 census.
Thanks

Hi
I have the census CD, but can you be more specific Brighton 1861 has over 1000 pages to check?
Have you any parishes to narrow it down a bit? If not it might be worth waiting until 1837 onlinelists Sussex 1861. Unfortunately Sussex is not on the list of next additions to the site.

Unfortunately I don't  have any more details.  Catherine was married at St. Nicholas' Church, Brighton.  I will have to try and find where the first Smith child was born in Brighton to get an address or wait till it eventually comes online.
