Oh - I forgot to say there a few other Hoey's buried there also, but none are in the same graves as each other so I couldn't tell if they were related or not.

Hopefully the obit will give us some clues...

Sydney Morning Herald 8 July 1997

HOEY, Peter - late of Carlton, beloved son of the late Bridget and Peter HOey, fond brother of Margaet (Mrs Shield, USA) an dearest friend of Rita, aged 62 years.

Funeral notice was in the SMH the following day:

1pm  9 June, 1997 at the church of St Bernadette, Argyle St, Carlton then to the Woronora Catholic Cemetery.  Undertaker: J & C Hardy, Rockdale and Hurstville.
