Photo of Jim Forrest but which regiment?

Please could someone help me identify which regiment this man served with? His name is Jim Forrest, and I think this photo dates to around WW1.
Miller family -Staffordshire, Leicestishire Cumberland,Pennysylvania.Auckland.
Hill family- Northumberland,Durham, Cumberland.
Woodward- Staffordshire.
Roberts- Flintshire, Cumberland
Fisher Cumberland, Lancashire
Taylor Cumberland, Lancashire,Durham

I agree with deadants, the tunic looks like the Royal Flying Corps style.

Thanks so much for helping me, after looking at the Flying Corps webpages it does look like their uniform, I, going to post on the new armed forces thread now for details on how to trace his service records, once again thank you ;D

 WW1 service records are held in the National Archives at Kew. They are in the series WO 363/364 but unfortunately a lot were destroyed in the Blitz. If he continued to serve after the war the records are kept in AIR79.
