Hi Jennifer

If you have the marriage cert for Charles Albert Moon & Annie Elizabeth Morrison could you please list the details for us?  RootsChat does not allow us to post whole certificates (only bits for deciphering)

Thanks

Jennifer,

How certain are you about Annie Morrison?

Playing around with FreeBMD and the 1911 census index I have come up with a possible family in Hastings 1911:

Charles Edward Moon born 1889 Hastings
Wife is Bertha nee Cleverly (born Wrexham 1890?) and they married Dec Qu. 1908 in Hastings
One child in 1911; Charles Aaron, born 1910 (can't find the registration though unless it's Charles William A Moon, Dec Qu. 1909, Hastings)

Rose C Moon born Dec Qu. 1912, Hastings, mothers name Cleverly.

Phil
Sussex: Satcher (Hamsey) and Gatton (East Grinstead)
Leicestershire: Pratt
South Wales: Evans (Neath)
Poland: Gonet, Deren

Forest Row: War Memorial and Camp WW1
Lewisham War Memorials & WW1 Graves

Phil,
if Martyn is sure that we have his father's right certificate, then the parents are charles edward moon and annie elizabeth morrison

but i have these moon's you are mentioning in my tree, but it is not my direct line, we would have to order the charles edward moon/bertha cleverly marriage but what would that give us... we need a frederick born to this couple , right? and that would be Martyn's father but we would need to find that too,

i dont know how these names that Martyn is looking for thst you have found connects to his family though...

Or maybe not........... I found what is probably another four children born between 1917 and 1926 under Cleverley .

Edward, Bessie A, Ernest G and Eileen B, all born Hastings.

Jennifer,

You posted while I was typing.
The problem I'm having is finding the Moon/Morrison marriage and Annie's birth.

hi, trying to help a possible cousin, Frederick Roy Moon married Phyllis Addy (she from battersly) sep 11 1954, Dewsbury,

Fred born 18 november 1914 Hellingly his father was Charles Albert Moon (general dealer of broad oak heathfield) and mother was Annie Elizabeth Morrison of crossway house hellingly,

they lived around eastbourne and hastings , a Charles and Frederick and Rose (uncles/aunt) are also remembered from Polegate,

can anyone fit this together please, get back another generation?
jennifer

As you are possibly aware we are not allowed to post 1911 census information -copyright issues-but the index can be searched free

there is a Ruby moon age 12
Rose moon age 7 -b Polegate
Charles Moon age 3

they are in an institution -not a household

then in 1901 there is
Eastbourne
Charles moon Head m 50 general dealer b Cheddingley Sussex
Annie E wife 31 Bayswater London
Ruth E daughter 2
(I wondered if Ruth E should have been Ruby???)
