Hi :)

One of the rules of rootschat is that we don't post about living people :(   so that precludes us helping in this at least on a public thread  such as this.

Sorry to bring you this disappointing news :(

I wondered about that but your header misled me--- "Trying to trace living relatives".

Maybe if you rephrased  your post and header there would be answers :)... and also do you know names of places your relatives lived/died/ etc?  All such details help make lookups easier.

Good luck with this search :)

Hi there

The three children of Oscar & Mary may or may not have passed on, and if they have it may be recent -  they could also have living children - so it's best to be careful for reason of respecting their privacy.

I've sent you a PM.

Cheers  :)

You've got them  :) and have replied to me twice so far  ;D

Fellows Rootschatters - this search is based in Australia, NSW at present (thought the birth ref numbers looked familiar !)

xxFlyspotxx  - do you know if it's just NSW or are there other States in the picture?

Cheers

Edit:
Have found the 99.9% definite marriage and death & obit  for the daughter.
And put xxFlyspotxx  onto the Ryerson Index website
http://ryersonindex.net/search.php

Pretty  sure it's definitely the daughter of Oscar & Mary - obit mentions her 2 brothers  as named above - plus there were 2 more brothers, 4 in all and all pre-deceased her. Lots of living relatives named.

Also the obit of the daughter's husband  (surname is NIDDRIE)

Job done?  ;D  ;D  - however:

Mods:  I think this topic would be best placed on the Aussie boards?
Where xxFlyspotxx might attract the attention of our top-gun Aussie Rootschatter team for better advice on how to find deaths etc in 'off-line' NSW records.

http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?event=births
The NSW online Index only goes up to 1979 for deaths, 1909 for births, 1959 for marriages.

Cheers
