1851 Census Look Up Please!

Looking for Nicholas Fletcher aged in his 30's, a canal boatman all his life. Not on 1851 census in Burnley with wife and child (Ann and Thomas)

Reappears in 1861 and died in 1866 so where was he?

Any help appreciated
