William Pirie & Beatrice Davidson

Am trying to find information about William Pirie and Beatrice Davidson who had the following children

Elspet 1776 born in Fordyce
William 1778 Fordyce
Beatrice 1788 Grange  - no idea why there is a 10 year gap, possibly more children but no record of any on IGI. Further children all born Grange
John c. 1791
Alexander 1793
George 1796
Walter 1798

I cannot find a marriage for William & Beatrice, nor definite birth/christenings for either of them. Had a few red herrings for William but none have checked out.

Grateful for any help.

Just a long shot which you've probably already seen?.... the LDS site gives William as being born about 1757, of Banff & Beatrice about 1756 of Banff.

However, for what it's worth, there is a family tree on Ancestry.co.uk that gives Williams birth as 1762 & Beatrice's as 1752, both  born Grange, Banff......with a son John being born 1791, also Grange, Banff..............& Rgds.

If I'm right that Elspet(1776) is an older sister of John(1791) then I don't think it's likely that their father was born in 1762.
Of course Elspet and William(1778) could be the children of another William & Beatrice Davidson, I do have an unexplained 10 year gap, and families often seem to have used the same christian names over and over again, so they could be cousins?
I haven't looked at this branch of my tree for a while, time to take another look. If I find anything I will post here.
