Hi, I'd be most grateful if someone could find a mention of Mrs.Mary Ann Stephen (nee Stephen) born Scotland circa 1874 & her daughter Margaret Stephen born 8 Sep.1910,Gaiman,Chubut,Argentina in the Immigration records. They arrived in Scotland sometime after the death of James C.Stephen (11 Oct.1911) & pre 1 Jan 1916. James married Mary in Punta Arenas. He died in South America but I've been unable to trace his death record. I'm hoping that by finding the port of embarkation  I may be able to get a clue as to their last residence. It may be that they were still in Gaiman a year after Margaret's birth. For more information on this family please click on this link. Thank you

Hi
I am now in possession of the Marriage Certificate and William's name is stated as

William Henry Taylor and in 1913 his age was 30 so that would make hime born in 1883

I have checked all William Taylor's born within 2 years of 1883,who came into the uk within 10 years either side or 1903,but none came from the West Indies. Most were coming from Canada and the US.

Sorry I couldn't have been more help!

Hello there flst

There are no Margaret Stephen's(or nameless Stephen children) born in 1910 on the 1878-1960 passenger lists. I'm not sure how complete they are?

Maybe you'd be best posting a new look up message on the overseas boards, incase someone knows of specific records relating to Argentina?

Because Ancestry is so American biased nearly all their results are journeys back here from the US or Canada.

Regards

Carol
