Hi there. Looking for any help in finding David Ross 1794 Fearn m Mary Ross b 1815.Fearn...married 21/3/1839 in Tain.
Don't know where to look from here and would appreciate any suggestions...

Hi

There are two baptisms showing for a David Ross in Fearn around that time:

23 August 1791 to Donald Ross & Jannet Ross

10 June 1796 to George Ross and Katharine Munro


Do you have a list of his children in birth order which might help in deciding if either of these is yours?

Hi

Just looked on the IGI and I see that they had a son, Donald, in 1840  and there is a submitted entry for a Jessie (=Janet)  in 1845.

This suggests that the 1791 baptism is the most likely.

 WOW...thank you for this. I have a list of their children..(that's as far as I have been able to find..until now!!)
Donald b 1840
Robert b 1841
Maryb1842
Jessie b1845
Georgina 1846 (gggm)
Barbara b 1847
Unnamed Boy 1852 d ied at birth
Kenneth 1855
Most of this family came out to NZ abt 1865.
