The microfilms for both are now online

Just scroll down to the year and click on the relevant ship

Hello Annie,

Do you know if there are anymore details on the passenger lists compared to the database online?

I don't think so abc as what you are looking at are the original manifests.

I've been to look at the shipping records and the only other information that was added was that the person was going to stay with an aunt.

Mmm, that just reminded me of an unsolved mystery, drat.  :(

Now that's odd. I just had a look at the online shipping record of my ancestor and the information about him going to meet his aunt, isn't there. So there must be something else I looked at, also.

Hi abcsydney & Jamjar   :)

Some years back I ordered details for an 1855 voyage and as well as receiving a printout from the passenger list (now available online) ... I was also sent a copy of the "Immigration Board Inspection List" pertaining to my family - which contained some most helpful additional info.

From memory, these "inspection lists" (or they're maybe called "agents lists" ?) were mentioned in the "help guide" on the NSW State Records website ... and were available for voyages after about 1850 ??   So there very likely is additional information for the 1854 and 1858 passengers you're seeking, abcsydney.    :)
