Just wondering if anyone can help me track a marriage of a mary agnes page-father william page and mother mary ?. She married a john jones. He was from newport montgomery wales and she was from eardesley in herefordshire-is that near wales too??? She was born in 1843 and he was born in 1839ish. Their first known child was fredercick william jones born in kingsland hereford in 1868 ish.

I'll have a look - but in the meantime am wondering why this is on the Lancashire Board!

Herefordshire is 'near' Wales - but Wales of course is a large area, a country, and Herefordshire is large county. So 'near' is a relative term , yes Herefordshire is a county joinnig Wales, but many places in Herefordshire would not really be described as 'near' many places in Wales!

modified to add - cant see an obvious marriage
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

thanks for that. Its because they ended up living in burnley lancashire and wondered if they got married there-but think it more likely that they would stick to montgomery, leominster, or kingstone. Their first child was born in 1868 in kingstone hereford so am considering around there for a marriage-will copy it onto the hereford board, or wales anyway. thANKS FOR THAT

if you put the same request on another borad then do post a link to this, or people will duplicate effort and look for the same things in the same places that has already been done.

I think she married as Agnes Mary Page in Swansea 1866, you'll find it at http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ seems a bit out of the way but they didn't marry in Eardisland

1871 census  John 48, born Bulley, there is a John Jones born Brilley 1828?, and Mary 40, born Llanbister, Radnor , but it looks like she was baptised in Eardisley? plus son Thomas Benjamin Jones age 3
in the Eardisland baptisms you will see brother John Jones born 1872.
also the Page baptisms

Thanks to all for their info. I have mary agnes page born in 1843 23 feb in presteign  to willaiam and mary page. How did you get mother mary having maiden name watkins-have you got a record of the 1871 census??? Have you got mary's mother living with them in 1871 then to get that info???
still trying to find john jones and mary agnes page's marriage. Not sure about the swansea one-its a possible though it is a way away from leominster or kingstone or eardesley. But it does fit in with time scale and names etc. Hope someone out there sees this and can help. fingers crossed
thanks again all
