Just to be perfectly certain that you have the right JOHN HENRY BLUNDELL as there may have been more that one in the area,, is your statement of his parent's names taken from the marriage certificate?.

There's a William Gore death 1911, parents William and Amy, at Granville - buried Rookwood.

Haven't found Jane, yet.

This is who is in with her: Arthur Gore aged 60 interred 15/06/1878

Hi Sparrett,
I am certain of the BLUNDELL side of this family as I have traced this family back to England and have a lot of information about them. I am satisfied I have all the right people in this family. They were a big family in the Newcastle area, Sarah Temperance BLUNDELL { John Henry's sister} married Charles Upfold who started the Australian Soap and Candle Co in Newcastle.

The Jane GORE death with Unknown MCKAY as father looks like the only possible death for Jane. I had seen it before, but I like to work backwards from what I know so I hadn't applied for that one yet.
I think I will have to apply for that and hope that it has some information on it. I have been very disappointed with most NSW certificates I have applied for as they have had very little information on them, unlike Victorian Certificates  >:(
Maybe it will give me info about William and any  other children they may have had.
I wonder if William was William Arthur and they used different christian names for B's , D's and M's as I have found in other parts of my family . Sorry thinking out loud here. ;)
Still looking for Elizabeth BLUNDELL's death though...
For anyone who contributed to my search for Sarah Jane Blundell/ Jones { still haven't found her death} Elizabeth BLUNDELL/GORE is her mother.
I think I will have to apply for Jane GORE's death cert  # 333 . Maybe Elizabeth was the informant ??

Yes I think the death cert is the go. Seems a little to much of a coincidence with the Mckay on it.

I agree with the Arthur/William idea. I had an ancestor who registered his children using either Horace or Thomas. He was Thomas Horace.

Could this be Elizabeth Blundell's death notice in the SMH?

BLUNDELL - November 11, 1910, at Margaret Street, North Waratah, Elizabeth, the beloved wife of John Henry Blundell, age 65 years.

North Waratah is a suburb of Newcastle...
