I have managed to get a copy of the back of the carded Coat of Arms. I have created a new posting, trying to decipher the hand writing.

Grantley,

Just a thought. I assume the memorial is in a church somewhere, and believe that one has to apply for a faculty from the bishop to put up such a memorial. So perhaps the diocesan archives might have some information about the arms?

Thankyou Roger,

When I started this post, I was after the date of the image that I have, not the date that the Coat of arms was granted.

I have since learn't a lot about Coat of Arms and this image would not have been part of the grant, but one created some time after.

I am chasing up the College of Arms for a date that the Coat of Arms was granted.

Regards
Grantley
