Lovelock, Beatrice

Having difficulty finding out what happened to Beatrice. B.1885 Northop. Last child born 1917. Married to Thomas Walter Hughes but can find no record of this or any registration of her death. Any help appreciated.

It looks like there was an Ethel Hughes Mar Q 1916 mmn Lovelock and a Maud (transcribed as Mand) Hughes Jun Q 1917 mmn Lovelock both reg at Hawarden

Added - possibly twins Lilian & Walter Hughes mmn Lovelock Jun Q 1913.

Children of Beatrice: Winifred Lovelock b. 1903 Northop. Father unk.
                                  Elizabeth Hughes b. 1907
                                  Jemima b. 1909
                                  Doris b. 1911
                                  Lilian b. 1913
                                  Walter b. 1913
                                  Ethel b.1916
                                  Maud b. 1917

In March 1918 Eliz. Jem. Dor. Lil. Walt. & Eth. were for some reason in the workhouse in Broughton. Maud's birth is the last known info. I have of Beatrice.  Winifred was my Grandmother.

Have you looked at;

NorthWalesBMD death 1936, FLNT/38/90 Beatrice Hughes. The same death in the GRO index gives the age as 53, which gives a dob close to 1855.

Added: checked this out on Freebmd and has a red cross symbol next to it which, according to the key, denotes a new entry. Not sure how new but maybe thats why I missed it!

This is all I could find in Northop baptisms.
March 24 1886. Beatrice Louisa d/o Thomas & Sarah Ann Lovelock. Abode, Villiage. Fathers Occ, Gardener.

Born April 23 1903. Baptised April 8 1906. Winifred d/o Beatrice Lovelock. Old Brook Farm.

Born Nov 1 1907. Baptised Feb 2 1908. Beatrice Elizabeth. d/o Thomas Walter & Beatrice Louisa (nee) Lovelock, Hughes. Dublin Row. Fathers ICC, Labourer.
I couldn't see baptisms for any more of their children in North op.

Thanks for that. That's as far as I got. I have a copy of Elizabeths baptism and despite going through parish records for Nothop and Hawarden I couldn't find any more baptisms or a marriage for Beatrice. Her daughter Winifred was my father's mother who died when he was a child and he has no recollection of Beatrice and has always wondered what happened to her. Tecwyn gave me a possible lead re. a death. I have ordered the certificate so here's hoping.

Received death cert. today. Unfortunately its not my Beatrice. Back to square one!
