Was Albert Catholic?

There is an Albert Davies husband of Azalie Charbonneau buried at Montreal in 1932.

Cheers,

And he married Azélie Charbonneau in 1914, as Albert Davis. A widower.

He's the widower of Lucie Cassarant (very unusual name, never seen it before)...but there is no Davis/Davies, Lucie, in the 1911 Canada census, and all the Alberts are married to somebody else.

Good day Dawny,

I found this info on Ancestry.ca showing the Quebec Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 about Albert Davies:

Event Year (Burial): 1932
Religion: Catholique
Place of Worship or Institution: Montréal (Basilique Notre-Dame)
Province: Québec (Quebec)

There is an document image there as well, but is in french. Do you have access to that? Hope this helps,

Hello folks,

China, Lucie's last name appears to be Cassavant?

Albert Davis and Lucie Cassavant dit Ledebeauche(?)( bad writing) were married in Ottawa in 1895, apparently quite a number of years after they had their children, if I'm reading the relevant part of the French church record correctly. Ontario registration record gives Albert's place of birth as Ottawa. He married as a bachelor. Albert, Lucie, and son Abraham, age 20, appear to be on the 1901 Census in (I believe) Ottawa, although the ages of Albert and Lucie have been reduced reletive to the marriage info.

Lucie died in 1902 in Ottawa.

Then Albert married Azelie Charbonneau in 1914.

This would appear to be the same Albert who died in 1932.
