Henry PATEMAN b 1840

can anyone find him on any other census i have him on the 1841 census, he was born i think in Langford, Beds in 1840, i dont know how his parents were, i am hoping that the other census may tell me.

He appears to be with his parents Mary & James in 1841.  Ages were rounded down to the nearest 5yrs so his parents could have been up to 4yrs older than shown

thats what i thought but why is he on the top of the family being only 4 yrs old, and interestingly the 2 people above them are William James Briers and Kezia Briers (nee Pateman) i tend to think that he is Kezias little Brother

Perhaps he was the illegitimate son of Kezia as he is recorded as Charles Pateman not Charles Briers

i think that you would have more luck looking under Crisanna Pateman i tend to think that Kezia was a nickname her parents were Ann Copperthwaite and John Pateman
