Angus Nicolson, Marishadder, Skye.

Curiously there is an Angus Nicolson who married Rachel Martin who died in Marishadder in 1869 aged 75 (see Scotland's People records). Her parents were Alexander Martin and Ann Lamont. They had a son John who was informant of his mother's death.

He appears to have died in 1864 aged 75 and his mother's name appears to be MacLean.

Hello Stephen - have started putting my tree on ancestry.com and myheritage the above mentioned Angus Nicolson is my great great grandfather.

Son of Alexander and Marion Lamont I believe. Alex was a farmer at Marishadder she was from Snizort.  Alex's parents were Angus/Rachel Martin her parents were Donald/Ann Nicolson.  I have Nicolson's from Uig and Culnacnoc and found yours filtering through the dozens and dozens of Nicolson's in the area.
