Just Penninghame Prison - a lot depends exactly what type of info you are looking for as you didn't give details

There is a Hansard debate about the closure plus an Inspectorate of prisons report plus news items - all from that search.  There was also a Scotlands Places link

Good morning  - My mate's father was a warden there but he (father) has now moved on (RIP) and I often went to the prison and played table tennis in the main building and football in their pitch. I also remember going to the officers Club/pub which was in the grounds. I am looking for any photos about the prison, it's inmates, wardens and grounds to bring back memories.

I was Nurse Officer in Penninghame Prison from 1976 - 1979. It was a great place to work and indeed live. I loved Newton Stewart and the surrounding areas. The only problem was the constant power cuts plus the poor TV and radio reception.  ;)
