Hello All,
Now I took the initiative after getting the burial details for Winder Harrisson aged 96yrs and ordered his will to see what he had to say.......well in a short will he mentioned a lot
He appears not to have married, but has a great deal of nieces and nephews.
Will for Winder Harrisson, gentleman of Lenham, signed 13 Nov 1848, proved 7 Nov 1850
Mentions:
Nephew Edmund Harrisson and wife Sarah (son of late brother George Harrisson)
Nephew Thomas Winder Harrisson (son of brother George Harrisson)
Nephew John Harrisson (son of brother George Harrisson)
Children of nephew Edmund Harrisson - George Harrisson & Frances Sarah Harrisson
Son of nephew John Harrisson - James Harrisson
Son of nephew Thomas Winder Harrisson - Winder Harrisson
Mary Ann
Lancefield (widow of late nephew Thomas Lancefield) and her children - Thomas Lancefield, Arthur John Lancefield, Mary Lancefield and Ann Haywood (nee Lancefield)
Horatio Bates of Egerton, Kent - Miller (son of late niece Frances Bates)
Nephew John Crispe Winder (son of sister Mary Winder)
Ann Missing? (daughter of late niece Ann Missing?)
John Gooding & Edward Buss - executors (not relatives)
So to my absolute delight finally I have the link I wanted to the Lancefield's!!!!! I am sooo happy!
I was wondering whether someone would be able to check the parish registers though for a couple of ones that I wasn't aware of:
Firstly can anyone see baptisms for Edmund Harrisson, Thomas Winder Harrisson or John Harrisson the sons of George Harrisson and his unknown wife? I assume they will be in Lenham or Charing.
Also can anyone see a baptism for Horatio Bates? he is described as son of his late niece Frances Bates, but I have no record of a Harrisson/Bates marriage or any details of a burial for a Frances Bates. he should be born about 1790's I suppose
The other rellie I cannot place at present is Ann Missing (or what looks like Missing or Nissing perhaps) daughter of his late niece Ann Missing (again can't read it really well). I have no record of a Harrisson/Missing marriage or a Lancefield/Missing marriage either....
The plot thickens!!
Any help would be great, you guys have helped brilliantly so far and it is all starting to work itself out finally
Jenny
