Antigua: death in 1914 - A. B. HARRIS
« on: Friday 19 February 10 12:36 GMT (UK) »
Has anyone knowledge of a war memorial in Antigua which might bear the name of Albert Buckley Harris?  An analytical chemist, formerly from Liverpool, he had joined the Antigua Defence Force and while in training in September 1914 was sadly drowned while crossing from Guana Island to the mainland on horseback.
His former school's magazine said he was the first of that Force to die in the war, but he is not commemorated by the War Graves Commission.  Perhaps he should be, but we would need a death cert to accompany any application for his inclusion.  Any hints on how to obtain one would be welcome.

EDITED to correct Harris's second name.

You are right, I was wrong about the second name.
Thanks for that and for the contact details which I shall follow up.
