I'm feeling really really thick

I'm trying to find and locate patients registers or records for the Peckham House a lunatic asylum in the 1840's and 50's

I'm hoping to get along to visit there in the next week or so and would like to pre order a couple of documents but I seem to have totally confused and frustrated myself  I haven't got a clue how to understand which documents I need does any one know where I might find an idiots guide to understanding the Pro Gov site.

Sorry if this is answered somewhere else but I couldn't find it
