Interesting stuff and sounds very positive for that William Turner and family but this does not fit at all with the William Turner born 1847 in Brighton as per the original post.  Can you tell us how you got back to him Yvette??   Which ancestor are you sure about?

Blimey!!!! now im confused!! i was looking for my great grannies family you see. what i have is my great granny was Harriet Eliza Turner 1893-1960. Her parents were George Turner 1869 from worthing and Harriet Smith b1874 Colchester.
Ive then got information tht her grandparents were William Turner b 1847 brighton ad Caroline Stamp 1849 Newhaven........ and the other set of granparents William Henry Smith b 1847 Colchester and Harriett Carter b 1850 Colchester.

I then have nothing for William Turner except a family member seems to think his mother was Eliza (god knows why) and Caroline had parents called Abraham and Lucy.... although I have since been told Caroline was baptised in May 1850 at Lewes... St. Micheals???
