William Henry TUCKER from Bath
« on: Sunday 21 February 10 16:21 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have a William Henry Tucker in their tree?
William in my tree was born in 1895 in Bath. He was the son of Henry and Adelaide Tucker nee Cottle.
I know William was in the army he was a Lance corporal in the Somersets no 566 3631.
The last place I can trace him is in 1924 living in 24 Beecham Cliff Place,Bath with his parents(Electoral Register).According to my Dad and my Aunt, William moved to Taunton.
I wonder if anyone could help me find out what happened to him?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thankyou

Is it possible he could have been married before 1924 but residing with parents (work etc)??
There is a William H Tucker marraige to Harriet Notley Wellington Somerset 1919......Wellington is
very close to Taunton, maybe Harriet was possibly working/residing Bath 1924, then both returned
to Taunton district??
There are a few other marraige possibles, that would work in the same scenario.
Alot of if's and maybe's I know!!
Just a thought!

Hi  Daisy

Just want to thank you again

I ordered that certificate, and from that found he was married to an M.Tucker so went to Taunton to do a a lookup on the electoral register for that year ..discovered his wifes name was Mabel and from that found their marriage in 1927.(He was married as Henry William Tucker not William Henry Tucker, but know it is the right one because he was living in  24 Beecham Cliff Place,Hollway, which I know was his parents address).
