Huntingdonshire Marriage Index
« on: Saturday 19 March 05 18:36 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone do a lookup for me in the Hunt's Marriage Index, I'm trying to find the marriage of John Mackness/Mackiness and Susanna prior to 1750.

Many thanks, Brenda

Hi Brenda,

John Mackaris married Susanna Farrington in 1741 at Gt Gransden.  There is also the following entry although the bride is Elizabeth.

John Mackeness married Elizabeth Negus in 1733 at Eynesbury
Hope that helps, Ruth :)

Hello Brenda

I have ancestors that lived in the Hemingford Abbots area.
Their surname was Mackiness/Mackness.
Have you discovered if any of yours were in that location in the 1700's/1800's?

Elizabeth Mackiness was married to Thomas Lavender in 1808.  These are my gt
x3 Grandparents.

Hello Carole, sorry to be so late replying to you, but I haven't looked at the site recently. Yes my ancestors are from Hemingford Abbots. I have a Mary whose parents were Edward and Jane, Mary would have been born about 1777. Do you know who the parents of your Elizabeth were? Edward and Jane are buried in Hemingford Abbots.

Hi Brenda!
Better late than never - I have only just seen your reply to me!  LOL
Unfortunately, I have only just stumbled upon this old thread as I am still searching for info on Elizabeth Mackness/Mackiness of Hemingford Abbots.
I'm unaware who her parents were, etc.
Can anyone help, please?
Regards.  Carole Green
