Scottish Gypsies and circus people: BBC Radio Scotland programme
« on: Monday 22 February 10 13:47 GMT (UK) »
The genealogy radio programme on BBC Radio Scotland yesterday included information on the Scottish circus family, the Cordonas, and on the Gypsy families of Kirk Yetholm, particularly the Youngs and Blythes.

You can catch the programme online here for the next 7 days:

Hi Jane

Thanks.

It's worth listening to these BBC Radio Scotland programmes called 'Digging Up Your Roots' - even if you don't have Scottish ancestors. They cover lots of the family history resources that any UK researcher is likely to use, ranging from military and legal records to censuses.

Unfortunately, Sunday's programme was the last in the present series but I think they'll be back later this year.

Best wishes
