Hi Rich

I was happy to be able to help.  I just like having something to get my teeth into, it does help as ou've found when there is a snippet of info to get started with.

If you have any more questions you know where we are.

Hi

I dont know if you can help but I am compiling a book on the history of Dilhorne and am currently researching Callow Hill Farm and the Shoebothams to include them in the book, do you have any photos of the farm or the Shoebothams or any family history that you would be willing to share to include in the book? or perhaps any other family members do?

Look forward to hear from you
Regards
Irene

Hello Irene,
I only have a little info from the Shotton/Marson side of the family. I will ask if there are any Dillhorne photos, this will take a day or two, you know what farmers are like!

I should really give you all a little update.
Thanks entirely to the help from the chatters here, I did contact a family who live at Mow Top farm, they were a little shocked when I phoned them up, but very nice and polite. Unfortunately they did not know any thing about the previous occupants.
The uncanny thing is they are agricultural contractors, which is exactly the same as the farmer on whose behalf I am searching. Gave him quite a turn when I told him, so I have been waiting for him to show some interest before proceeding any further. I should think he has recovered by now, so will ask about the photos.

I phoned the farmer the day you originally posted, he is going to find the photos for me, he has been really busy. I will visit him tomorrow and report back.
