Making a ged com from Ancestry tree?
« on: Tuesday 02 March 10 13:26 GMT (UK) »
I know I have asked how to do this before.  I have done a search for the answer but can't find it.  I want to down load from Ancestry to Tribal Pages and have forgotten how.  If I remember it was very easy but I can't see where to start,
Thank you for your patience,
Abiam2

PART 1
When you are on the Ancestry web site click on Help and in the Keyword Search type: GEDCOM

Number 10 on the list of results: How to download your personal member family tree

is probably what you are after.

PART 2
When they send you the gedcom file you need to save it to your hard drive.

On tribal pages you will need to upload the gedcom file from the saved location on your hard drive.
Sussex: Floate, West
Kent: Tuffee
Cheshire: Gradwell
Lancashire: Gradwell
